Interview by Ms Olivia, the Experienced Mistress: “Ms Tori, you’ve been in this world for 12 years! Some people are new to virtual reality. What was it like when you were new?”
Ms Tori: “I really felt like the whole world had just opened up to me. I was able to meet people from all over the planet. I found people that have similar interests. I was able to explore things with people in such a way that it really felt like an experience. It was very profound. It continues to be very exciting!
Ms Olivia: “I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. Then, when I went inworld. WOW! This really is amazing. Tell us about one thing that really moved you to tears.”
Ms Tori: “One of the most moving experiences I’ve had in this virtual world is when I met this guy. His avatar was not much different from other avatars and we went to a few places. We went to a carnival, rode a roller coaster and did some other things. By the end of the night he told me that he had been in a car wreck when he was young and was a paraplegic He said this virtual world is his outlet for being able to experience very realistic and tactile feeling activities that he’ll never get to experience again in reality. That moved me a great deal.”
